You Are F*ck*d Up, Clearview!

Zdravstvuyte my dear tovarischi!

Da, I read the news like everyone else, and as a KGB secret agent, I am aware that Clearview AI’s client data was stolen.

Pozor and so creepy, because right now all internet knows that you people (and particularly you…yes, especially you!) likes pizza with pineapples, consider Jar Jar Binks to be the best Star Wars’ character, and bought that ‘I am not gay but $20 is $20’ t-shirt from eBay. Eh.

No wonder why the public is outraged.

Tor Ekeland, Clearview AI's attorney, said that "Security is Clearview's top priority."

Really? I am outraged too! Now everybody knows that I hack American elections for fun I cheated to pass my “Politics of Kanye West” class in a bet for a Zhigulevskoe beer with my friend Ivan. But that’s a story for other time.

Tech giants also outraged. Google, Facebook, and even Microsoft sent Clearview AI warning letters to delete images from their platforms.

What does Clearview say?

Ekeland added that in the 21st century it’s normal to have such issues.

Normal? There are people fired for reading “Three Ways to Tell Your Boss He is Jerk” while on the clock because of your failure, Clearview!

At the same time, the news is great! In what way? Because it’s the first time nobody accuses Russia of stealing data, hacking elections, forgetting keys in car, etc.! We are not detected, ura!

That’s all, comrades! It’s my time to hack borsh again. Vsego horoshego!

Would Millennials Take Financial Advice From YouTuber Jake Paul?

Jake-Paul.jpg

For $20 a month – would you pay for a financial online course with YouTuber Jake Paul?

YouTuber Jake Paul launched Financial Freedom Movement last weekend offering videos starring himself and others teaching users that traditional schooling is useless.

Here’s Jake Paul himself speaking about his new service:

They say that we’re entitled and lazy. They tell us to go to college and retire at 65. How is that working out for us? Are your parents happy? Are they living the life they wanted? There’s over 1 trillion dollars in student debt and people with outdated education who can’t even get a job for the student loans that they’ve taken out and now haunts them for life. Maybe we’re too young to experience this yet but I’ve had enough of it!

Fair enough – it’s just like how kids are sleeping on trade schools because it’s not your parents’ traditional route.

In my last semester of Graduate school, I’m sitting in a classroom with a professor in her mid-30’s teaching a course on Surviving The Industry.

My professor hasn’t been in the industry long enough to teach how to survive in the entertainment industry!

But taking financial advice from Jake Paul is as dumb as the high school kids selling Vemma Energy Drinks on campus.

Jake Paul is NOT a financial guru!

Shitshow of Political Influencers Is Only Getting Murkier

political-Influencers.jpg

Get your popcorn and tea ready! The shitshow of political Influencers is only getting stinker.

In an article from Buzzfeed, “Instagram Influencer Marketing Is Already A Nightmare. Political Ads Will Make It A Shitshow” by Katie Notopoulos.

Notopoulos states that, “Facebook’s political advertising policies – which fall into a gray area of federal regulations - have already come under intense scrutiny…But allowing political candidates to use influencer marketing on Instagram requires a lot of trust – that is how the influencer marketing works – and that system has always been completely broken.”

So, if you thought that you had a hard time figuring out what was Fake News or real news...guess what?

It’s only going to get murkier and murkier.

How can you regulate a broken system?

Notopoulos writes, “Enforcement has been pretty hands-off. Over the years, the Federal Trade Commission (FTC) has taken action against brands and advertising agencies - but never individuals outing up posts.”

I don’t see how the FTC can regulate individual posts because this would be an infringement on our 1st amendment rights of free speech and any regulation on that will open up a can of worms.

Do you think more politicians are going to jump on the Influencer promotion wagon like Bloomberg has? And if so – do you think the FTC will try to regulate?
